natural SPF

since I've been spending so much time in the sun lately I thought I'd share something I read on about foods that naturally protect you from the sun & it's effects!

Tomatoes, Watermelon, and Berries - contain the antioxidant lycopene which reduces your skin’s sensitivity to sunburn.
Spinach - contains antioxidant which destroy free radicals in the body
Broccoli - is involved with collagen production
Carrots & Sweet Potatoes - darken the skin & protect it from the sun
Green & Black Tea -  lower the risk of squamous cell carcinomas
Omega 3 (fish) - lowers the risk of getting Melanoma (a deadly type of cancer)
Dark Chocolate - reduces the reddening effects of UV rays

Good thing I just started liking fish & broccoli huh?

Wow! Thank you Kelsey! Perhaps this is why I am still super white skinned?! Even though I enjoy the effects of self tanner now and again! :) xox!
