Superbowl food!

I love any excuse to have a party. so this weekend, superbowl it is!
Last year my husband and I were in Grenada and he was studying all day and I still made lots of special food for the two of us to enjoy and I think we only watched the 2nd half...
Anyway, this year I'm home and I think at least my parents will be here for the superbowl and I'd love to try some cute little finger foods!

Independence Day in Grenada

We had such a fun time at the beach today celebrating the 4th of July and Canada Day!

in case you didn't know I have a thing for lions.  I think it's Liam Neeson's voice in the Narnia movies that started it....
but what don't I have a "thing" for???

it ain't easy being green.

I felt like such a child all day.  I dressed up head to toe [k not toe, if I had access to my America closet I'd totally have green shoes] in green!  I love a good holiday and a reason to dress up!

I spent the morning with a friend on the beach, in my green bathing suit
went to the grocery with my green bag
made green snacks and games for the kids at my after school program
may or may not have worn green earrings, necklace, headband, and clothes.
drank 3 glasses of green tea
AND saw 2 rainbows!!

Popcorn Cake!

I made the popcorn cake (seen here) Thursday for the kiddies at my after school program.
It turned out great!
although I wish I had M&Ms or something to put it in.

Thanks to my friend Amber for getting a picture of it for me!!

I made it exactly like I would rice crispy treats, but instead of cereal I used home-popped popcorn.
I topped it with sprinkles and iced Happy Birthday.
I made a big pan and a bundt pan and stacked them,  mostly b/c I needed to make a lot of it and I needed it to be convenient to carry.

confession: I'm a foodie

I have found so many adorable little foodie things on pinterest.
I am addicted to pinterest. but don't mind me.

I'm making a popcorn cake for the kids at Limes this Thursday!! I'll let you know how it goes!
