10 Things I Love About You

Today over at  Newlywed's Bliss we are having a link up party!  We are asking you each week for the month of November to write a post with 10 things you love about your spouse!
They say that 10% of things about your spouse drive you crazy... the other 90% are the things that you love and made you fall in love with them in the first place, but sometimes we focus on that 10% too much.

To my Lee:
  1. I love that you study and work so so so hard and you impress me every single day.
  2. I love that you are so smart and properly diagnosed my Mom by what little info I relayed to you.
  3. I love that yesterday you said "there are more important things in life than a tidy house"
  4. I love that you think I am the world's greatest cook.  and I secretly like it when you say things I make taste better than my Mom's.
  5. I love that you didn't mind that I put up a Christmas tree even though we are getting ready to move and won't even be in this apartment for Christmas.
  6. I love that you offered and slept on the floor Sunday night and gave my friend Amber the bed (long story) and were genuinely happy to do so.
  7. I love that you always, every single day of your life have the very best intentions about everything.  You have such a sweet heart and I want to be more like you.
  8. I love that you include me in every single decision you make.
  9. I love that you like to watch football and sometimes get into it so much that you're out of your chair yelling something.... and I love that you try to include me and tell me when they are fighting!
  10. I love that you love the Limes kids as much as me and are taking time out of your busy schedule to come spend time with them.

Want to join in on the fun?? Head over to Newlywed's Bliss and link up!!

a saturday afternoon picnik #3

time for another picnik!!

This week I'm going to show you a collage I made in a few simple steps

1. Choose collage from the top of the main Picnik page.
1

2. Choose the collage layout.  I chose a 3 square format
2

3. Drag and drop the pictures you want to use from the bottom of the screen.
3

4. Continue dragging the pictures until the squares are filled.
4

5. Adjust the proportions and roundness of the squares if you wish.  I wanted a more rounded look.
5

6.  Change the background color if you wish. I chose white knowing the effect I would do later would add a patina to it.
6

7.  Click DONE!
7

8.  Click effects
8

9.  I chose the 1960s effect  because I think it feels really beachy and I love all things vintage.  You can adjust the intensity of the effect by fadding it out.  I faded it quite a bit.
9

10.  Click text.
10

11. I chose the Santo Dumant (?) font and typed the words "sandy island" because that's where we were :)
11

12.  You can adjust the size and position on the photo
12

13.  Then I adjusted the color to black, the blend mode to overlay, and then faded it out to kinda resemble sand.
13

14. Final product!

a saturday afternoon picnik #2

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!  I am still recovering from my "vacation"
too much sand, salt, & sun! if that's possible.

Today's picnik tutorial is something super simple anyone can do to get the biggest bang out of their pictures... especially beach pictures!
You know how the color never comes out quite right?  My camera never captures how perfectly blue that water is!
That's why they invented picnik.

If you're using the free version of picnik you'll want to use the boost effect, and then adjust the strength to your desired amount.
If you have the premium version you should use the vibrance effect, and then adjust the strength.
3b&a
and that's it! perfectly blue water! like it looked in real life.

see what I made last week here
